BID DRAW FOR THE NATIVE VOTE

It would seem it is one for one in the candidate resignation race between the Grits and the Cons. Neither party seems to be doing a great job of vetting candidates in areas where they may be having problems finding quality people. Yesterday a Nova Scotian Conservative Candidate with a criminal record stepped aside.

In Quebec City the Liberals had nominated Simon Bedard. A former radio personality reiterated comments he made in 1990 that the army should have used lethal force to end the Oka crisis, even if it meant 150 deaths! He resigned yesterday.

The NDP in the meantime are slow off the mark. They have not nominated candidates for over 70 ridings across the country . Slow and steady is better than having candidates resign I suppose.
