I was not at the big Liberal breakfast at the Fairmont this morning but media reports say that Liberal Leader Stephane Dion supports the rationale for the ABC campaign.I guess Dion did not stop to check with campaign strategy wizard Ed Hollett or Labrador Liberal MP Todd Russell's staffer Wally McLean before trying to capitalize on the feud between Newfoundland's premier and Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
The Prime Minister's broken commitments to this Province in Goose Bay and with relation to non-renewable resources should act as a cautionary tale for other voters in Canada as they try and make up their minds who they'll vote for.
I think people have learned to wait for the transcript when it comes to your rendered of things like this.
ReplyDeleteYour versions have been known to be...what's the word?...off.
I was accurate Ed:
ReplyDeleteRyan was set up and asked a couple of questions that I thought reflected a hatchet job.
I stand by my my observations. Besides the transcript was truncated.
Your transcript presented in the comments section of the post was truncated.
ReplyDeleteThe original included all the bits that showed your comments about the "being out of work" came from Cleary's own remarks in the scrum.
Read it again. I read the transcript as posted on Wherry's blog.
ReplyDeleteMy comments were not about Ryan's employment status by the two questions related to why he was running. That is what I took issue with.
Peter, I have no problem with anyone arguing that you should vote "ABC".
ReplyDeleteUnlike you, that's how I'd generally vote anyway.
But hey, go ahead, keep battling strawmen. Whatever it takes to keep in shape.
Wally whats the unlike you all about. I have never voted conservative!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the people on the Avalon did and I would love to see them vote against them this time.
I am supporting Jack Harris this time. An old friend.
Here's what you said in the post:
ReplyDelete"I thought the questions about the failure of the Independent and his employment status were dirty and underhanded. “You couldn’t get a job in journalism, so now you’re going to be a politician?” one asked leading to" So you wanted this job because you couldn’t be a journalist any longer?”'
Those came as a direct result of Cleary's own comments.
You called them a hatchet job.
You still haven't explained why sensible questions drawn logically from Cleary's own comments make up a hatchet job, as you put.
