It looks like there is more to this Supreme Court of Canada appointment than meets the eye. Outgoing Conservative apologist and lead quisling Loyola Hearn told the media that the Feds were open to appointing a Newfoundlander but none of the candidates were interested in the job.
The selection process was cut short short when the Conservatives announced that Thomas Cromwell of Nova Scotia would take over the position left vacant by the resignation of Justice Michel Bastarache.
The response was predictable. Justice Minister Jerome Kennedy saw red. Hearn said publicly yesterday that the province is playing games again, That they knew there was no Newfoundland and Labrador candidate willing to do the job.
All of this comes as a surprise to Kennedy who says he was scheduled to appear before the selection committee in two days to discuss the vacated seat. Justice Leo Barry and Justice Malcolm Rower were forward. Harper by-passed the committee and appointed the Nova Scotian.
More examples of the fabricated spin of the less than trustworthy Mr. Hearn.
Do you have any info on Rowe and Barry's qualifacations, as compared to the guy who was chosen?
