WISEMAN MAKES A BETTER OSTRICH THAN A HEALTH MINISTER

When is a crisis, a crisis? When people die? When does the government acceptable responsibility for issues that develop on their watch? When are cabinet minister held accountable for files in their department that are ignored or botched?

The wheels are coming of the Health Care bus in this province and it is skidding for cliffs and the Minister keeps burying his head in the sand. Ross Wiseman is not giving the public or the medical community any sense of confidence that he understands the seriousness of the crisis facing the provision of services in our over stressed health care system.

Of course as I expressed from my post early this week there are people who really think this is a game the specialists and nurses are playing with government to get better salaries. Competitive salaries are one thing but the impact of stress from not having the proper equipment, support and training is what brought us the Breast Cancer Inquiry and sealed the fates of too many people to think it could happen again, or even worst is happening again?

I suppose when the government numbers are so high there may be a reluctance to feel the pressure to rush to a resolution. People have to start rocking the boat and regestering their concerns with their feet.

I agree with todays Telegram, how bad does it have to get?
