ACCOUNTABILITY - WHAT ACCOUNTABILITY?

Retired journalist, Here and Now Executive Producer and current The Telegram columnist Bob Wakeham questions the CBC's decision to give former Premier Dunderdale a pass on questions related to her legacy in the province's top political post.

The former premier emerged from the shadows last week to discuss her new role as volunteer coordinator at the Gathering Place. In her first public foray with the media since leaving the province saddled with Muskrat Falls, the CBC agreed to limit the scope of the interview. No tough questions about her legacy, mistakes, challenges or the current financial mess the province is in.

I am with Bob. The CBC should never allowed itself to run with a story more befitting Entertainment Tonight than a news program.
