Talis Qualis

Wow, just typed in the address for my blog and it is still functioning. Frankly, I miss my daily musing, but after the rounds of personal attacks and innuendo tossed around following my advocacy for education following the 2016 budget - it lost its appeal.  Why share your opinion in such a public way? Public being the key word. Say what you want to who you want but don't leave yourself hanging in the wind!

Simply put, I find that approach hypocritical. You stand for your principles or you do not. Hiding behind hushed tones or fake Twitter handles just facilitates does not serve your party or public policy.  I specialize in telling truths that people find unpleasant and upsetting. I’m here to help but I have had my fill of kool aid!

Being a candidate is a double edged sword. It is one of the most painful experiences of your life, right up there with divorce, childbirth and dentist appointments. If you have the passion, the drive and the focus you will need organization and money.

Over the next year, the three parties will be calling nominations in each provincial district. This is the time to get engaged with district association, party supporters, community leaders, business leaders and plan to offer your time and talent to the political discourse of this place.

We need new faces, new energy and strong leadership that is less paranoid and worrying about being in charge than  getting anything done.
