The Canadian PressST. JOHN'S, N.L. - The Newfoundland and Labrador government has dumped a volunteer who made a quip about the premier's penis size on Facebook.
The flap comes just days after Liberal Opposition spin doctor Craig Westcott apologized for an email questioning the mental health of Danny Williams.
A spokesman for Rural Development Minister Shawn Skinner says Pamela Pardy Ghent was removed from the province's rural secretariat over the weekend over a status update she posted on Facebook. It said she was thinking of asking the premier's office to disclose Williams's penis size, and referred to "small man syndrome."
Ghent told CBC Radio that her Facebook post wasn't a dig at the premier but at the absurdity of Westcott's email.
The premier's office released the email last week, which questioned whether Williams is mentally ill or in the last stages of syphilis.
