KILLER POLICIES: DO YOU TRUST HARPER

The attempt by the Harper Conservatives to duck responsibility for the the recent tainted-meat tragedy that has claimed over a dozen lives is incredible. Harper has called an inquiry into the matter.

Anyone with a clue knows that the Conservatives believe in less government and have quietly moved forward with the deregulation of the meat industry. How stupid to they think Canadians are? Just a week before the listeriosis outbreak Harper fired Luc Pomerleau from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for exposing the plan. It turns out the plan had already been put in place, despite denials from the minister responsible for protecting our food supply. The Maple Leaf Plant in Toronto that is the source of this killer meat was one of the first to be deregulated.

Imagine what other killer policies these neo cons have in store for Canadians.
